180415-N-VG727-001 PHILIPPINE SEA (April 15, 2018) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) tests the Phalanx Close-In Weapons System (CIWS) during a pre-aim calibration fire (PACFIRE). Dewey, assigned to the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG), is on a scheduled deployment in the Indo-Pacific region to support training under the U.S. Pacific Fleet's Up-Gunned ESG concept and to serve as a forward multi-mission asset for any type of contingency.
