Media Advisory: Media invited to cover exercise Noble Partner

WIESBADEN, Germany — Noble Partner 2018 is a Georgian Armed Forces and U.S. Army Europe cooperatively-led exercise hosted at Vaziani and Camp Norio training areas in Georgia from Aug. 1-15. The exercise will enhance Georgian, regional partner and U.S. forces readiness and interoperability in a realistic, multinational training environment.

Additionally, the exercise will allow participants to conduct situational training exercises, live fire exercises and combined mechanized maneuvers. Exercise Noble Partner is crucial in that it provides leaders at all levels the opportunity to exercise their staff in command and control functions while executing planning for complex combined operations. 

The following events during the exercise are open for media to attend:
Aug. 1 – Exercise opening ceremony
Aug. 8 – Georgian memorial events
Aug. 9 – Combined exercise urban operations 
Aug. 15 – Distinguished visitors day and closing ceremony 

Participating nations will include Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, France, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States. 

U.S. participation will include elements from the state of Georgia National Guard; 2nd Cavalry Regiment; 12th Combat Aviation Brigade; 7th Army Training Command; 21st Theater Sustainment Command; 16th Sustainment Brigade; 18th Military Police Brigade; 409th Contracting Support Brigade; 598th Transportation Brigade; and 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.
