Soldiers assigned to the 702nd Ordnance Company (EOD), participate in an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) training at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Oct. 4, 2024. EOD Soldiers are trained to safely identify, disarm, and dispose of hazardous explosive devices, ensuring the safety of military personnel and civilians in both combat and peacetime environments. Exercises ensure EOD units remain prepared to respond to real-world threats, safeguarding military personnel and civilian populations from explosive dangers.

NATO Allies and partners participated in Fire Phobia training at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, Hohenfels, Germany, Sept. 28-Oct. 1, 2024, in preparation for their upcoming Kosovo Forces rotation.
Fire Phobia training allows Soldiers to familiarize themselves with effective tactics and techniques for reacting to and mitigating the threats of improvised incendiary devices, such as Molotov cocktails.

U.S. Soldiers, assigned to the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, test on various medical and weapon lanes during the Expert Infantry Badge or Expert Soldier Badge testing at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Sept. 25, 2024. From Sept. 23 to Sept. 27, Soldiers from across the 2nd Cavalry Regiment will attempt to earn the Expert Infantry Badge or Expert Soldier Badge (E2B), depending on each individual’s job title. Soldiers must successfully complete various physical and mental tasks such as an expert physical fitness assessment, day and night land navigation, weapons, medical and patrol procedures, and a 12-mile ruck march. These events are the key enabler to molding the force into professionals, while stressing commitment to every Soldier's individual development. The purpose of E2B is to create skilled Soldiers at all levels, across all organizations, increasing the readiness and lethality of teams, squads, and platoons throughout various units in the Army.

Operation Market Garden and World War II remains an enduring historic reminder of how Allies with a common purpose and vision forge proven partnerships and reinforce bonds that remain to this day.
