Overseas Housing Allowance Survey – Your input affects your housing rates

Annual Overseas Housing Allowance survey will be active from 1 January 2024 to 31 March 2024. All Service members receiving OHA, except those sharing rent, are encouraged to participate.
Results directly impact the amount of housing allowance each service member receives, as the overseas housing allowance is a cost-reimbursement based allowance.

U.S. Army Soldiers with 2nd Battalion, 69th Armored Regiment “Panther Battalion,” 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, compete alongside NATO Allies in the Croatian “Winter Challenge” at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, Jan. 5, 2024. The Croatian “Winter Challenge” is a 15-kilometer competition consisting of seven events: land navigation, small arms firing, wall climbing, obstacle course while wearing a gas mask, rope crossing, low-crawl and obstacle climbing, and a hand grenade toss. U.S., Polish, Romanian, and Croatian troops representing NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group participated. The 3rd Infantry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe. In 2023, NATO took major steps to protect our people.
Strengthening deterrence and defence and agreed to new plans. Invested more in defence and stepped up the protection of undersea infrastructure. Finland has joined the Alliance, making NATO stronger. Brought Ukraine closer to the Alliance and increased our support. And deepened cooperation with partners in the Indo-Pacific region and with the European Union, reaching unprecedented levels of collaboration.

SETAF-AF Year in Review 2023

U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe and Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis-response options in Africa and Europe. Throughout 2023, SETAF-AF conducted hundreds of theater security cooperation activities in Africa, led multilateral exercises like African Lion and Justified Accord, executed multiple medical readiness exercises, and stood ready to support crisis response operations throughout Europe and Africa.
