Exercise Bayonet Apex is a live fire and combat skills proficiency training exercise. Paratroopers qualify on their individual and crew served weapons, and build combat readiness in Engineering, Military Intelligence and Signal skills during this training in Croatia.
African Alumni Symposium 2023

Leaders from the Zambia Defence Force, Ghana Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Gabon, discuss their experience during this year's African Alumni Symposium, held at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The AAS is one of the key multilateral engagements to strengthen partnerships between the U.S. Army and land forces across the African continent. The AAS is designed to bring African alumni of the U.S. Army War College back to Carlisle, PA, to interact with academic and subject matter experts in African security issues. This partnership also promotes dialogue among African nations and the U.S. Army.

First permanently-assigned U.S. Soldiers arrive in Poland
The first Soldiers to make a Permanent Change of Station to Poland, Sgt. Walter Malecki, left, and Reserve Sgt.1st Class Kyle Stewart, right. V Corps, dual headquartered in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and Poznan, Poland, is fortifying its forward ranks with permanent, one-year, unaccompanied tours to Camp Kosciuszko as part of President Biden’s July 2022 announcement.

Overseas Housing Allowance Survey open – your input affects your housing rates
Annual Overseas Housing Allowance Survey runs from 1 January to 31 March 2023. All Service members receiving OHA, except those sharing rent, are encouraged to participate.
Results directly impact the amount of housing allowance each service member receives, as the overseas housing allowance is a cost-reimbursement based allowance.

173rd Airborne Brigade - Tough in Spirit

U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to 2nd Battalion, 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade snowshoe in the mountains of Italy as part of a “Tough in Spirit” event on Feb. 17, 2023. The "Tough in Spirit" events are designed to bring 173rd Airborne paratroopers together on a non work related activity to improve unit cohesion.

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 39th Transportation Battalion assisted the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command with the download and processing of approximately 1,500 pieces of equipment at the port of Alexandroupoli, Greece, March 7, 2023. The equipment belongs to the incoming 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, which is replacing units currently in Europe.
