V Corps Finds Temporary Home in Ansbach Germany
Almost a decade ago V Corps cased their colors after 95 years of service in the European Theater. Thus ending their mission of providing support to U.S. allies and partners and promoting regional and global security under the command of U.S. Army Europe.
Seven years later, after increased aggression along NATO’s Eastern flank, V Corps was called back to fulfill the requirements of the National Defense Strategy.

Milley Proposes Rotational Forces in Permanent Bases Across Eastern Europe
The future of American presence on the eastern flank of NATO may revolve around rotational forces in permanent bases, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told the House Armed Services Committee today.
"Actual presence is always a good deterrent relative to a given threat," said Army Gen. Mark A. Milley.

3/4 ID Arrives in Europe for Atlantic Resolve

The 3rd ABCT is commencing its preplanned, nine-month deployment to Europe in support of Atlantic Resolve. Vehicles and equipment items arrived aboard the commercial vessel “Liberty Passion” and will be staged at the port facility in the coming days and prepared for onward movement.
