The 309th Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG) employs approximately 1,700 civilian personnel in various occupations, and is the Air Force's Technical Repair Center for landing gear, wheels, brakes, secondary power systems, hydraulics, pneudraulics, and composites. The group maintains, repairs, overhauls and modifies armament, power systems, gas turbine engines, auxiliary power units, secondary power units, fuel accessories and controls. In addition, the group also overhauls and repairs structural sheet metal, aircraft canopies, flight controls and does heavy machining work.
