U.S. Marines, assigned to 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct an Evacuation Control Center exercise during Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise, aboard USS Arlington (LPD 24), Dec. 10, 2021. ECC is designed to equip Marines with the knowledge to safely and effectively evacuate locals from a hazardous environment. ARG/MEU EX is the second at-sea period in the MEU’s Predeployment Training Program; in which a joint assessment of performance and recommendation is made for the MEU, signifying progress towards a deployment certification.
