The 173rd Airborne Brigade's mission, is to rapidly deploy and decisively win ground combat against a near peer enemy. We offer tailorable and scalable force packages for a variety of mission sets and infiltration options.

Our location in Europe also helps extend U.S. diplomacy and build interoperability among the greatest concentration of our allies and partners anywhere in the world.

The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States Europe, Africa and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.

Today as in every major conflict since World War I, this team of combat ready Paratroopers stands guard for our nation.
