Thirty years Desert Storm – Ansbach community members look back
Thirty years ago, Soldiers from Ansbach and Nürnberg supported and deployed to Kuwait, then Iraq, as part of Desert Storm, a military response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait.

Lithuanian Dragoons demonstrates unconventional warfare on U.S.
Infantrymen assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment participated with Lithuanian 21st Dragoon Battalion in a combined training exercise, Feb. 21, 2021.
The training event tested the abilities of U.S. forces to identify and react to ambushes and the Dragoon Battalion to slow or halt the advance of heavy weaponry.

HEAT training in preparation for Combined Resolve XV
Troops of the 115th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, conducted high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV) Egress Assistant Trainer, or, HEAT training, in preparation for Combined Resolve XV at the Hohenfels Training Area.

7th Army NCOA leads instruction on new missing persons battle drill
The 7th Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy gave the first instruction to junior and future NCOs on the Army’s new “absent-unknown missing persons battle drill” at Camp Normandy, Germany, Jan. 28 as part of the Basic Leaders Course.

U.S. Soldiers assigned to Combined Joint Task Force- Horn of Africa, French Soldiers assigned to the French Forces Djibouti and Djiboutian soldiers assigned to the Armed Forces of Djibouti, participated in a cyber defense and interoperability engagement to build the cyber defense capabilities of the three partner nations in Djibouti, Feb. 14-17, 2021.

“When I was about 6-years-old I knew I wanted to join the Army,” said Cpl. Keaton Williamson, a tanker assigned to Bravo “Eagar Arms” Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment. “I didn’t know what I wanted to do yet, but I knew I wanted to join.”
