Lt. Col. David Lisovich commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate through the ROTC program from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2006 with a degree in Political Science. He has served in various assignments including deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo.
He commissioned as an Armor officer in 2006 and attended the Armor Officer Basic Course at Fort Knox Kentucky. He was subsequently assigned as a scout platoon leader and troop executive officer in 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry in 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division in Texas. He deployed with 7-10 Cavalry to Baghdad Iraq in 2008 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Upon return from his deployment, Lieutenant Colonel Lisovich completed a branch detail assignment and transferred to the Military Intelligence Corps, graduating from the Military Intelligence Captain’s Career Course in Fort Huachuca in 2010. He was assigned to the 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade (BFSB) in North Carolina. Under the 525th he first deployed to Afghanistan as commander of HHC, 519th Military Intelligence Battalion from 2010-2011 and then deployed again to Kosovo from 2012-2013 as the Squadron S-2, 1-38 Cavalry Squadron. Following his time in the 525th BFSB, Lieutenant Colonel Lisovich was assigned to serve as an Observer Coach Trainer (O/C-T) at Hohenfels, Germany. He served three years as an O/C-T and Intelligence Planner in support of over 30 training rotations and exercises in Hohenfels and throughout Europe and Africa.
Lt. Col. Lisovich completed Command and General Staff Course (Redstone Campus) in 2017 and was assigned to Fort Huachuca, AZ. He served one year as the garrison executive officer before being assigned to the 111th Military Intelligence Brigade. While in the 111th MI Brigade he served first as battalion S-3 for the 304th Military Intelligence Battalion and then as the 111th MI Brigade S-3.
In 2020, Lieutenant Colonel Lisovich returned to Germany, on assignment to the USAREUR-AF G37 where he was assigned as the USAREUR-AF training officer from 2020-2023. He also served to temporarily support G35 crisis action planning for the establishment of the SAG-U organization during this time. He was selected to serve as the Chief, Analysis and Control Element (ACE) for USAREUR-AF and the 66th MI Brigade (Theater) in August of 2023.
Lt. Col. Lisovich originates from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He currently resides in Wiesbaden, Germany with his wife and son.
