About Resolute Castle

Exercise Resolute Castle is a U.S. Army Europe and Africa led, multinational, joint exercise which marries U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard, as well as allied and partner nation engineering unit training opportunities with the completion of real world construction projects that enhance training capabilities in various areas of Europe's eastern member-states. Resolute Castle is designed to reinforce regional partnerships and promote interoperability with host nation forces by providing improvements to existing infrastructure.

Resolute Castle 24 utilizes U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and NATO engineers to increase partner capacity and strengthen capabilities across NATO’s eastern member states through real-world engineer-related training and the expansion of infrastructure in support of defender-series exercises.

Third Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Randall Reed, Command Chief MSgt. Heriberto Diaz, and Foreign Policy Advisor to U.S. Air Forces Europe and Air Forces Africa, and U.S. European Command Erin Sawyer visit to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Oct. 14, 2021. While at Incirlik Reed met with Airmen, learned about their skills and observed how they support 3rd Air Force, USAFE-AFAFRICA. Third Air Forces issues directives to subordinate commands and takes action on behalf of the USAFE-AFAFRICA commander as directed. The command takes deliberate actions to develop Airmen and their families, confronts global challenges in support of the National Defense Strategy to defend our country and our allies, and utilizes dedicated efforts to deliver peace to our nation and its allies by fostering stability and deterring aggression throughout Europe and Africa.
