About Griffin Shock

 
 
 
Griffin Shock is an exercise designed to prepare V Corps and NATO Multinational Corps Northeast with the rapid expansion of NATO Multinational Battlegroup Poland in support of NATO deterrence initiatives such as bolstering readiness, responsiveness, and reinforcement. 

 

Griffin Shock is a combined NATO and U.S. Army short notice exercise that will demonstrate the U.S. Army’s ability to enhance the NATO alliance by rapidly reinforcing the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) Battlegroup in Poland to a brigade size Land Forces Brigade.

The Air Force Reserve Command held a Change of Command Ceremony for the Force Generation Center at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, July 15, 2019.

Maj. Gen. John “Jay” Flournoy Jr., Air Force Reserve Command deputy commander presided over the change of command ceremony for the AFRC Force Generation Center. Brig. Gen. Matthew J. Burger relinquished command of the Force Generation Center to Brig. Gen. Stacey L. Scarisbrick.

The Force Generation Center is the single organization responsible for generating Air Force Reserve forces by leveraging Reserve strategic capability to meet operational needs in support of global force management.
