About Griffin Shock

 
 
 
Griffin Shock is an exercise designed to prepare V Corps and NATO Multinational Corps Northeast with the rapid expansion of NATO Multinational Battlegroup Poland in support of NATO deterrence initiatives such as bolstering readiness, responsiveness, and reinforcement. 

 

Griffin Shock is a combined NATO and U.S. Army short notice exercise that will demonstrate the U.S. Army’s ability to enhance the NATO alliance by rapidly reinforcing the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) Battlegroup in Poland to a brigade size Land Forces Brigade.

Members of the Ohio National Guard 52nd Weapons of Mass Destruction - Civil Support Team, FBI Anchorage, and Homeland Security Investigations, conduct site characterization which includes gathering intel, room schematics, photos and laying cones for potential sampling points and targets of interest at the Central MAT-Su Fire Department and Anchorage, Alaska, Fire Training Center as part of Exercise ORCA 2023, June 13-14, 2023.The biennial exercise includes units from five other states and is part of the CST’s routine training schedule, designed to maintain readiness, validate response procedures, and collaborate with first response agencies across the state.
