About Griffin Shock

 
 
 
Griffin Shock is an exercise designed to prepare V Corps and NATO Multinational Corps Northeast with the rapid expansion of NATO Multinational Battlegroup Poland in support of NATO deterrence initiatives such as bolstering readiness, responsiveness, and reinforcement. 

 

Griffin Shock is a combined NATO and U.S. Army short notice exercise that will demonstrate the U.S. Army’s ability to enhance the NATO alliance by rapidly reinforcing the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) Battlegroup in Poland to a brigade size Land Forces Brigade.

616th Operations Center | Change of Command

On July 15th, Airmen of the 616th Operations Center welcomed their new commander, Colonel Justin P. Mokrovich, and bid farewell to their outgoing commander, Colonel James F. Weaver at a change of command ceremony held here at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.

Mokrovich comes to the 616th Operations Center after having served, as Director of Cyberspace Forces Ninth Air Force, Air Forces Central, in Southwest Asia.

In his remarks, Mokrovich praised the airmen of 616th Operations Center stating that our airmen develop kinetic and non-kinetic strikes in combination using all of Information Warfare to get after the adversary.

The outgoing commander, Colonel Weaver, will be departing to Scott AFB, Illinois as the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Director for Air Mobility Command.
