Arctic Forge 25 is a U.S. Army Europe and Africa led biennial exercise that leverages Arctic host nation exercises Local Defense Exercise 25 in Finland and Joint Viking 25 in Norway, February 17-28, 2025, to build Arctic readiness and interoperability in support of the U.S. Army's Arctic Strategy.

Arctic Forge 25 is focused on building the U.S. Army’s Arctic capabilities including deployment to the Arctic, Arctic multi-domain operations, and Arctic sustainment, and includes approximately 330 U.S. and 750 multinational participants from Canada (TBD), Finland and Norway.

The NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg traveled to Lisbon on Friday, 26 January 2018. He met the President, Prof. Dr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the Prime Minister, Mr. Antonio Costa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Dr. Augusto Santos Silva and the Minister of National Defence, Prof. Dr. Jose Azeredo Lopes.

During his trip, the Secretary General also visited NATO’s Joint Analysis and Lessons Learned Center (JALLC) Monsanto, the Portuguese Armed Forces Joint Operations Command, STRIKFORNATO (Naval Striking and Support Forces) and the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) in Oeiras.

Additionally, he is set to give a joint press point with the Minister of National Defence at 17:15.
