Arctic Forge 25 is a U.S. Army Europe and Africa led biennial exercise that leverages Arctic host nation exercises Local Defense Exercise 25 in Finland and Joint Viking 25 in Norway, February 17-28, 2025, to build Arctic readiness and interoperability in support of the U.S. Army's Arctic Strategy.

Arctic Forge 25 is focused on building the U.S. Army’s Arctic capabilities including deployment to the Arctic, Arctic multi-domain operations, and Arctic sustainment, and includes approximately 330 U.S. and 750 multinational participants from Canada (TBD), Finland and Norway.

Sgt. James L. Hibler, from Arlington, Texas, and Sgt. Robert Brown, from Girard, Pennsylvania, talk about the good memories they had with Sgt. Ward M. Johnson IV and Sgt. Eric M. Seaman at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, May 18. Six Marines and two Nepalese soldiers lost their lives after a UH-1Y Huey helicopter incident while conducting casualty evacuations in Nepal May 12. The U.S. troops are part of Joint Task Force 505 in Nepal, which works in conjunction with U.S. Agency for International Development and the international community to provide unique capabilities to assist Nepal. Hibler and Brown are UH-1Y crew chiefs with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469. Also available in high definition.
