Arctic Forge 25 is a U.S. Army Europe and Africa led biennial exercise that leverages Arctic host nation exercises Local Defense Exercise 25 in Finland and Joint Viking 25 in Norway, February 17-28, 2025, to build Arctic readiness and interoperability in support of the U.S. Army's Arctic Strategy.

Arctic Forge 25 is focused on building the U.S. Army’s Arctic capabilities including deployment to the Arctic, Arctic multi-domain operations, and Arctic sustainment, and includes approximately 330 U.S. and 750 multinational participants from Canada (TBD), Finland and Norway.

Nebraska National Guard supports local law enforcement with tornado response efforts

The Nebraska National Guard has deployed 80 Soldiers and Airmen to support requests by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Omaha Police Department to provide personnel for controlled vehicle access and traffic management at multiple neighborhoods impacted by severe weather. These volunteer service members integrated May 2 with local law enforcement at their assigned areas in the Ramblewood, Vistancia, Woodland Crossing and Bennington Lake neighborhoods. The Soldiers and Airmen are working in rotating shifts managing traffic control points and conducting roving patrols to ensure the safety and well-being of all within the affected areas.
