Arctic Forge 25 is a U.S. Army Europe and Africa led biennial exercise that leverages Arctic host nation exercises Local Defense Exercise 25 in Finland and Joint Viking 25 in Norway, February 17-28, 2025, to build Arctic readiness and interoperability in support of the U.S. Army's Arctic Strategy.

Arctic Forge 25 is focused on building the U.S. Army’s Arctic capabilities including deployment to the Arctic, Arctic multi-domain operations, and Arctic sustainment, and includes approximately 330 U.S. and 750 multinational participants from Canada (TBD), Finland and Norway.

Today, WHINSEC held its monthly Awards and Recognition Ceremony.
Recognized were:
Maj. José M. Rondón; Maj. Samuel Díaz Torres; Lt. Col. Milton R. Meza; Sgt. Maj. André Biscaro - Senior Army Instructor Badge.
Maj Jose Julia, Lt. Col. Diego Cortes, and Maj. Jose M. Yegros Caballero were awarded the Basic Army Instructor Badge.
The Silver Pen Certificate was presented to Maj. Matthew A. Hughes for his publication, "Lessons In the Dragon's Layer, A People's Liberations Army Professional Military Education Engagement with Latin America and the Caribbean.
Lt. Col. Carlos Gonzalez Mantilla received a certificate of completion of the Common Faculty Development Instructor Course.
Additionally, Lt. Col. Carlos G. Mendez de la Cruz was awarded the Order of Saint George, Bronze Medallion.
