An F-35A Lightning II exits a hanger after being painted with an aggressor paint scheme before reactivating the 65th Agressor Squadron on June 9, 2022, at Nellis Air Force Base. The aggressor program began in the 1970s, allowing pilots to train against a U.S. aggressor force that replicated advanced and credible adversary tactics. Since then, adversary capabilities have improved significantly, so these threats must be replicated. (U.S. Air Force video by Tech. Sgt. Alexandre Montes)
