Arctic Forge 25 is a U.S. Army Europe and Africa led biennial exercise that leverages Arctic host nation exercises Local Defense Exercise 25 in Finland and Joint Viking 25 in Norway, February 17-28, 2025, to build Arctic readiness and interoperability in support of the U.S. Army's Arctic Strategy.

Arctic Forge 25 is focused on building the U.S. Army’s Arctic capabilities including deployment to the Arctic, Arctic multi-domain operations, and Arctic sustainment, and includes approximately 330 U.S. and 750 multinational participants from Canada (TBD), Finland and Norway.

SCANG Hosts NORAD-Sponsored Super Bowl LIII Air Defense Media Day

David Martin, CBS News Correspondent, receives a media flight in an F-16 Fighting Falcon, by U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Andrew Thorne, a pilot from the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Fighter Wing, at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, South Carolina, that will simulate a North American Aerospace Defense Command-coordinated exercise with the Federal Aviation Administration and S.C. Wing – Civil Air Patrol over military training airspaces in South Carolina and Georgia, Jan. 29, 2019. The flight will also include an air-to-air refueling mission with a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 134th Air Refueling Wing, Tennessee Air National Guard. The South Carolina Air National Guard is hosting a NORAD-sponsored air defense media day to showcase how NORAD coordinates with federal, state and local agencies to support various special security events such as this year’s Super Bowl in its ongoing commitment to safeguard North America’s skies.
