Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Expeditionary Builders Respond: 36th Engineer Brigade

The 36th Engineer Brigade cases its Colors as our Nation has called on them once again. The Rugged Soldiers of the 36th En. Bde. are deploying to the African Nation of Liberia in response to the Ebola virus outbreak. Rugged Soldiers will be responsible for building and supervising the construction of approximately 17 Ebola Treatment Unit Facilities.They will also be responsible for building the life support area that will sustain all U.S. elements responding to the Ebola crisis in western Africa. About 600 Rugged Soldiers from Fort Hood and Fort Carson are partaking in the humanitarian mission Operation United Assistance.
