Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Around 50 Soldiers in the 1-201st Field Artillery Battalion, West Virginia Army National Guard, test two master gunner training simulations to compare the effectiveness of a fully virtual program versus an augmented training simulation. Mallory Coleman with The Civil-Military Innovation Institute (CMI2), nonprofit focused on creating functional solutions to support the warfighter, explains this testing phase of their cooperative project with 1-201st FA and the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Army Research Laboratory.
