Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

U.S. Air Force Reserve Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) aircrew assigned to the 302nd Airlift Wing operate a MAFFS equipped C-130H aircraft as they drop a line of fire retardant for the Wiley Fire, Aug. 9, 2023. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the trusted and valued partnership between the Department of Defense and the U.S. Forest Service. Air Forces Northern, U.S. Northern Command’s Air Component Command, is the DoD’s operational lead for aerial military support to the National Interagency Fire Center, assisting with wildland fire suppression operations when requested.
