Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

The Ministry of Defense Advisors (MoDa) program is designed to forge long term relationships that strengthen a partner state’s defense ministry. The program matches senior Department of Defense civilians with partner-identified requirements. The advisors deploy for up to two years under the auspices of the Civilian Expeditionary Workforce. While deployed, the advisors exchange expertise with foreign counterparts in similar defense specialties. Footage includes an interview with Frank DiGiovanni who is the Director of Training Readiness and Strategy for the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
