Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Employee Spotlight: Earl Groves, Chief of Operations, Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Earl Groves began his career at the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a summer park technician at the Canton Lake Project Office near Canton, Oklahoma. In 43 years with the Tulsa District, he has climbed literal and proverbial ladders and is the Tulsa District's, Chief of Operations. Groves works with people at every level within the Corps of Engineers and with state and federal agencies. He oversees a division with one of the busiest and most robust recreation missions in the Corps of Engineers. Throughout his career as a leader, Groves has made developing future professionals the hallmark of his work. When he retires in November, he will be known by employees in the Tulsa District as a mentor who was always willing to provide career advice to any employee from any section or division.
