Allies Spirit

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

U.S. Special Operations Command Europe
June 25, 2023 | 4:59
Green Berets from the U.S. Army 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and paratroopers from the 5th Quartermaster Theater Aerial Delivery Company prepared for and executed multiple high-altitude, free-fall jumps from June 21 to June 23, 2023, from CH-47F Chinook and UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters at altitudes above 10,000 feet near Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Additional training included a Civil Affairs Soldier assigned to 10th SFG (Airborne) teaching soldiers of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina how to apply a makeshift tourniquet on June 23, 2023, near Tuzla.

SOCEUR troops maintain readiness by keeping current on skills such as military free fall jumping, while also providing training to our partners and allies, which ensures they are always ready to respond anywhere and anytime to any emerging threats in support of security and stability in the Balkan region.
