Allies Spirit

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Gunfighter of the Week SrA Garcia
366th Fighter Wing
Nov. 4, 2022 | 0:39
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Antonio Garcia, 389th Fighter Generation Squadron weapons load crew member, introduces himself as Gunfighter of the Week on Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, Nov. 4, 2022. Garcia joined the squadron in July and has shown superior initiative since his arrival. During the 389th FGS deployment launchout, an aircraft diverted to Sioux Falls North Dakota and Garcia was among the first to volunteer for the Maintenance Recovery Team. While on the MRT his innovative thinking allowed the team to safely reconfigure an aircraft with external fuel tanks utilizing an MHU-83 lift truck, eliminating a fuel transfer problem. Garcia also assisted with removing and replacing a critical hydraulic line and removing and replacing a conformal fuel tank. (U.S. Air Force video by Airman 1st Class Krista Reed Choate)
