Allies Spirit

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

The National Guard is a critical component of the Department of Defense’s evolution of cyber defense capabilities; cyber resiliency and mission assurance of weapons systems and critical infrastructure; and protection of critical technologies.

Cyber and network defense is the most requested need by the 100 countries in the State Partnership Program. Leveraging these capabilities through mutual training exchanges serves to strengthen security, improve interoperability, and enhance readiness of U.S. and partner forces.
