Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Under Secretary of the Army Tours Fort Stewart Close Combat Tactical Training Facility

The Honorable Joseph W. Westphal, Under Secretary of the Army, tours the Close Combat Tactical training facility at Fort Stewart, Georgia. He wears the Manned Module combat simulation system, consisting of a helmet-mounted display (HMD), motion sensors, and a backpack housing a Virtual Battlefield Simulator II (VBS II). Dr. Westphal then conducts a patrol in the virtual environment with some of the Soldiers from 1st Battalion 64th Armor Regiment (1-64 Desert Rogues), 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, Third Infantry Division assigned to Fort Stewart, Georgia. After the simulation, Dr. Westphal sits down and speaks with the Soldiers with whom he went on the virtual patrol. Available in High Definition.
