Allies Spirit

US Army Europe Best Warrior Logo

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

U.S. Air Force Airmen with the 36th Contingency Response Group setting up and using the Project Arcwater system at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam Aug. 2, 2023. The system is composed of a Pvilion solar panel, small backup generator, environmental control unit and the Mangrove. The Pvilion solar panels provide solar energy to the batteries which provides power to the ECU system and Mangrove. The Mangrove system can purify salt and fresh water, or harvest water vapor from the air into drinkable water. The goal of Project Arcwater is to integrate the Mangrove with the Pvilion system.
