Allies Spirit

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

ACC Defenders Challenge Trials
Air Combat Command
Aug. 27, 2018 | 1:18
Security Forces from Air Combat Command participated in preliminary trials to be selected for the ACC Team to compete at the Defenders Challenge.

TSgt Alexis Rice:
“It’s various events I have pout them through this week, I have put them through a various methodical training week. So the first day off the RIP, you know after the meet and greet, we did a four point five mile ruck march. With a weighted ruck of 45-50 pounds, with PT inbetween.
Once we got to the shoot house it was more stress fire. They got, you know, their marching orders of how many OP 4 was in the building, provided them the rounds they needed, and they had to assault the village based off the intel they was given and neutralize the threats.
With that came team tactics, I mean IMTE2, which is intermediate techniques small unit tactics, that was evaluated during the land navigation of the course.
Giving my Senior Airmen and below a chance to command and control lieutenants and Tsgts and things like that, and uh, just seeing the overall base of the team from the lowest ranking to the highest ranking and just gelling them together as a team. “
