Allies Spirit

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Monarch Butterfly Conservation Partnership Celebration
Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton
Dec. 12, 2024 | 7:57
Senior leaders from the U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Department of Defense hosted a celebration of a collaborative conservation strategy benefitting the monarch butterfly on military lands at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dec. 12, 2024. Through the collaboration, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton has continued to proactively preserve and protect over 125,000 acres of land, six major stream drainages, and 17 miles of undeveloped beaches as habitats for over 19 federally listed threatened and endangered species, ultimately resulting in a hopeful projection to remove the monarch butterfly from the endangered species list.
