Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Groundbreaking Ceremony of the NJ Army Aviation Support Facility in Lakehurst

A groundbreaking ceremony for the New Jersey National Guard's Army Aviation Support Facility was held at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., March 8, 2013. The $43 million facility will consolidate the 1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion support under one roof. The new 143,602 square-foot facility will include: Five aircraft maintenance hangar bays (five hangars with 10 bays), two storage hangar bays, allied shops, repair parts and tools room, administrative and equipment storage areas, controlled waste handling facility and a simulation training area. This facility will enhance the 1-150th’s operational readiness and improve the New Jersey National Guard’s response to state and federal missions by providing the newest and most efficient aircraft maintenance and training support equipment
