Allies Spirit

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

COLLEGE STATION, TX. (Dec. 6, 2018) - Naval aviators from various commands under Commander, Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic and Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic, operating out of Naval Air Station Oceana, fly a 21-jet missing man formation over the George Bush Library and Museum at the Interment ceremony for the late President George H.W. In addition to serving as our nation's leader from 1989-1993 as the 41st President of the United States, Mr. Bush was a Naval aviator during World War II and received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroic actions in the Pacific. Nearly 4,000 military and civilian personnel from across all branches of the U.S. armed forces, including Reserve and National Guard components, provided ceremonial support during George H. W. Bush's state funeral. (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Mike DiMestico)
