Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Oklahoma Guard battalion supports Task Force for upcoming deployment

Oklahoma Army National Guardsmen with 700th Brigade Support Battalion, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, are supporting pre-mobilization training at Ft. Riley, Kansas for Task Force Tomahawk’s upcoming deployment to Africa.

Members of the BSB are conducting a wide variety of missions, including troop movements, ammunition management, fuel and meal deliveries, vehicle and equipment maintenance, medical support and more.

More than 1,000 Oklahoma Army National Guardsmen, including a company each from Nebraska and Indiana, will deploy overseas as Task Force Tomahawk in support of operations within U.S. Africa Command’s area of responsibility. While there, they will provide security support at five installations across three East African countries.  In addition to conventional security operations, the Task Force will man the East African Response Force.
