Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Soldiers from the 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, arrive in Orzysz, Poland, to form Battle Group Poland on March 30, 2017. Battle Group Poland, is comprised of U.S. soldiers, assigned to the 2nd Cav. Regt., and soldiers from the United Kingdom and Romania. The 2nd Cav. Regt., Battle Group just completed a seven day convoy from Vilseck, Germany, to Orzysz, Poland in support of NATO's Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP). NATO's eFP is an allied, forward deployed defense and deterrence posture in Eastern Europe to protect and reassure NATO's Eastern member states of their security.
