Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Guardians from the 12th Space Warning Squadron train in a simulator at Thule Air Base, Greenland, Aug. 9, 2022. A training facilitator runs launch simulations while a two-person crew, one officer and one enlisted, practice procedures for verifying and reporting launch detections.

U.S. and Canadian military and contractors from 12 SWS operate the Upgraded Early Warning Radar 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from its “top of the world” vantage point at Thule AB. 12 SWS, a component of Space Delta 4 - Missile Warning, is part of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment network, which provides early warning of ballistic missile launches to national command authorities via the Missile Warning Center and North American Aerospace Defense Command.
