Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Marines test new futuristic equipment, capabilities
15th Marine Expeditionary Unit

Marine Corps Base Camp Penleton, Calif. (July 13, 2016)—Marines with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment test equipment provided by the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, July 12-14, 2016 on Camp Pendleton, Calif. The equipment they are testing ranges from unmanned ground and aerial vehicles, new technology in expeditionary medicine, reusable energy and water purifying systems. The Warfighting Labs identifies possible challenges of the future and develops new warfighting concepts and tests new ideas to help develop equipment that meets the challenges of the future operating environment.
