Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 164, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing deploy a cargo guided Joint Precision Aerial Delivery System (JPADS) at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, Feb. 16, 2022. The JPADS was used to assist Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd MAW in establishing a forward arming and refueling point. Winter Fury 22 provides the Marines of 3rd MAW with realistic, relevant training opportunities necessary to respond to any crisis across the globe and win decisively in a highly contested, maritime conflict.
