Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.
 
Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron-1

U.S. Marines with Headquarters, Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1), and 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment conduct an Assault Support Tactics 3 exercise during Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) Course 2-16 at Twentynine Palms, Calif., April 15, 2016. WTI is a seven week training event hosted by MAWTS-1 cadre. MAWTS-1 provides standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
