Allies Spirit

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

1st Cavalry Division

Yesterday, we welcomed 59 Troopers assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division and 3d Cavalry Regiment after completing the Pegasus Integration Troop in-processing.
“You may have noticed an additional patch on the field today alongside the big yellow patch. It’s the patch of the 3d Cavalry Regiment. In keeping with the tradition established during World War II by General George Patton Jr. to approve the wear of a distinctive regimental patch, today the new members of the #BraveRifles will be patched with their unit patch.”
Said Maj. Gen. John B. Richardson IV, 1st Cavalry Division commanding general.
