Allies Spirit

Allied Spirit is a U.S. Army exercise for multinational partners, conducted at 7th Army Training Command training areas at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, Germany.

Unlike other USAREUR-AF exercises, which feature U.S. brigade combat teams in a lead role augmented by Allies and partners, Allied Spirit places an Allied unit as the main training audience. While U.S.-led, this exercise will develop and enhance NATO and key partner interoperability and readiness across specified warfighting functions.

1SG Samuel K. Solomon Elementary School Rededication
2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division
Nov. 9, 2019 | 2:13
On this Veterans Day, as we honor all that have served our nation and all those who still serve today, we celebrate our legacy by remembering a Warrior who gave all in the service of others.

1-27 Infantry Regiment "Wolfhounds" take part in a rededication ceremony for 1SG Samuel K. Solomon Elementary School on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

1SG Samuel K. Solomon earned the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for his courageous efforts in saving members of his company during the Vietnam War. As he was carrying his wounded men to safety, he was hit by gunfire and killed.

In the story of 1SG Solomon's dedication to his comrades and service to his country, we find a heroic example of our Army Values and Warrior legacy.
