About African Lion

African Lion 25 is U.S. Africa Command's largest, premier, annual exercise, hosted across Morocco, Ghana, Senegal and Tunisia. This joint, all-domain, multi-component, and multinational exercise includes more than 10,000 participants from more than twenty nations, including contingents from NATO. African Lion aims to strengthen interoperability among participants and build readiness to respond to crises and contingencies in Africa and around the world.

The exercise will include a command post exercise, field training exercises, a live-fire demonstration, and humanitarian civic assistance program events. Additionally, humanitarian civic assistance missions will feature a combination of medical, dental and veterinary assistance and exchanges across Morocco, Ghana and Senegal.

MANILA BAY, Philippines (March 27, 2022) The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) holds a reception with military and civilian leaders from the Philippines in the hangar bay. While in the Philippines, Abraham Lincoln celebrated the 70th year of the U.S. Philippine alliance through at-sea distinguished visitor embarks, ship tours, community relations projects, MWR tours and a reception hosted in the ship’s hangar bay. Guests to the reception included Filipino distinguished visitors, senior government officials and U.S. Embassy staff members. Abraham Lincoln Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships while serving as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
