Students with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education visit the 2024 Department of the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Summit in San Antonio, Texas, May 9, 2024. STEM is a method of hands-on teaching and learning where students learn to apply academic content by creatively solving real-world problems with innovative design-based thinking to prepare students for future career opportunities. The summit provided a forum for sharing information and ideas and connected modeling and simulation professionals across the Department of Defense, industry, academia and international partners. The conference aligns with Air Force priority to “follow through” on the enterprise’s training transformation, as the United States Air Force officials collaborate with modeling and simulation experts to support the Air Force’s training mission more efficiently and effectively.
