About African Lion

African Lion 25 is U.S. Africa Command's largest, premier, annual exercise, hosted across Morocco, Ghana, Senegal and Tunisia. This joint, all-domain, multi-component, and multinational exercise includes more than 10,000 participants from more than twenty nations, including contingents from NATO. African Lion aims to strengthen interoperability among participants and build readiness to respond to crises and contingencies in Africa and around the world.

The exercise will include a command post exercise, field training exercises, a live-fire demonstration, and humanitarian civic assistance program events. Additionally, humanitarian civic assistance missions will feature a combination of medical, dental and veterinary assistance and exchanges across Morocco, Ghana and Senegal.

Washington Air National Guard members recently participated in a weekend of professional development in Tacoma, Wash., February 28 to March 2. The weekend included leadership workshops, strategic wargaming simulations, and their annual awards banquet. The event aimed to cultivate future leaders and honor the achievements of current airmen, providing a mix of educational opportunities and celebratory recognition.

Footage includes retired U.S. Air National Guard Chief Master Sgt. Anthony Stovall, founder and president of F.H.L Leadership Group and Brig. Gen. Kenneth Borchers, Washington Air National Guard Commander, addressing Airmen. Also includes Airmen talking through scenarios and practicing wargaming with "Air Force Wargame Indo-Pacific," an interactive, multi-domain simulation designed to illustrate the complexities of modern air combat.
