About African Lion

African Lion 25 is U.S. Africa Command's largest, premier, annual exercise, hosted across Morocco, Ghana, Senegal and Tunisia. This joint, all-domain, multi-component, and multinational exercise includes more than 10,000 participants from more than twenty nations, including contingents from NATO. African Lion aims to strengthen interoperability among participants and build readiness to respond to crises and contingencies in Africa and around the world.

The exercise will include a command post exercise, field training exercises, a live-fire demonstration, and humanitarian civic assistance program events. Additionally, humanitarian civic assistance missions will feature a combination of medical, dental and veterinary assistance and exchanges across Morocco, Ghana and Senegal.

Use of Force Incident Brownsville, TX February 12, 2025 Body Worn Camera Video Release

U.S. Customs and Border Protection released body-worn camera footage today from a use of force incident which occurred near Brownsville, Texas on February 12, 2025. The incident was captured on multiple Border Patrol Agent’s body worn cameras. The video may be viewed on the Body-Worn Camera Video Releases page. CBP is committed to being a leader in law enforcement accountability and transparency. The body-worn camera footage is being released today, in compliance with CBP policy. This use of force incident is being investigated by CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility. At the conclusion of the investigation, CBP’s National Use of Force Review Board will review the incident, and the results of the review board’s proceedings will be released publicly on CBP’s website.
