ROTA, Spain (Sep. 11, 2024) Naval Station Rota, Spain held the annual 9.11k memorial run in remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and all those who lost their lives. As the "Gateway to the Mediterranean," Naval Station (NAVSTA) Rota is a force multiplier, capable of promptly deploying and supporting combat-ready forces through land, air and sea, enabling warfighters and their families, sustaining the fleet and fostering the U.S. and Spanish partnership.
