June 1, 2021 | 1:00
13 allied NATO nations came together to execute a Joint Allied Power Demonstration (JAPDD) in Cincu, Romania on June 1, 2021. Displays in the event included reconnaissance drones, snipers, special forces, remote EOD, close air support, and indirect fire from mortar teams. The event, a part of Steadfast Defender 2021, showed the readiness and response capabilities of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force. Steadfast Defender 2021 is one of many associate-exercises throughout Europe that take place during DEFENDER-Europe 21.

DEFENDER-Europe 21 is a large-scale U.S. Army-led exercise designed to build readiness and interoperability between the U.S., NATO allies and partner militaries. This year, more than 28,000 multinational forces from 26 nations will conduct nearly simultaneous operations across more than 30 training areas in 14 countries from the Baltics to the strategically important Balkans and Black Sea Region.
