CTEF Divesment Equipment between Coalition and Iraqi Security Forces
Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve
Oct. 15, 2020 | 0:45
Polish Special Forces soldiers provide security detail for U.S. and Iraqi forces during a divestment of equipment from the U.S. government to the government of Iraq at a transfer point near Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Oct. 15, 2020. Iraqi Maj. Gen. Saadoon, Q-West Air Base commander, received several containers consisting of air traffic control equipment that will build the Iraqi air force's capability to continue the fight to defeat ISIS. The equipment was provided to the Iraqi government through the Counter-Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) Train and Equip Fund, which is designed to provide a flexible and reliable source of funding, training, equipment, and operational support to strengthen Coalition partners and Iraqi Army and Security Forces (ISF) capabilities to counter current, emergent, and future ISIS threats.
