Ambassador Amy J. Hyatt, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Palau, U.S. Navy Lt. John McCary and U.S. Navy Utilitiesman 1st Class Mariah Stanton, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133 Civic Action Team (CAT) Palau, and Kumer Ichiro, a Palauan participating in the Apprentice Training Program, speak about their experience with CAT Palau. NMCB-133 is forward deployed, providing expeditionary construction and engineering (combat service support) to include horizontal and vertical construction; maintenance and operation of expeditionary bases and facilities; tactical sustainment bridging, humanitarian assistance through Construction Civic Action Details (CCAD), Civic Action Teams (CAT) and theater disaster response capabilities in the U.S. 7th fleet area of responsibility.
