U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, refuel a P-3 Orion, assigned to Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing 10, and an E-2 Hawkeye early warning and control aircraft, assigned to the USS. John C. Stennis (CVW 9), at a forward arming and refueling point on San Clemente Island, California, during Exercise Dawn Blitz, Oct. 24, 2017. Dawn Blitz 17 provides an opportunity to train Navy and Marine Corps counterparts in establishing scalable and agile expeditionary advanced bases capable of expanding littoral maneuver capabilities.
