Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members help share traditional art forms while an important figure tours the exercise at Yama Sakura. Petty Officer Anthony Martinez is at Camp Kengun with more.
The purpose of Yama Sakura is to enhance U.S. and Japan’s combat readiness and interoperability while strengthening bilateral relationships and demonstrating U.S. resolve to support the security interests of allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
